Being raised in the Jacksonville suburbs, I am excited to be able to give back to a community that has given so much to me as a youth. After graduating from Mandarin High School, I decided to continue my education at the University of Florida. During my undergraduate years, I developed an interest in endurance training and an overall importance of wellness care for the human body. After acquiring my bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in 2007, I knew that I wanted to pursue studying the dynamics of the human body. Taking extensive courses in chemistry, physics, and biology, my interest in the study of the human frame was only further developed. After being accepted to Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida, I developed my precise adjusting abilities while also recieving advanced training in human nutrition, myofacial release therapy, and kinesiotaping.

Throughout the community, you will always find me practicing what I preach. Whether it's kayaking on the St. John's River or surfing along Jacksonville's coast, improving my wellness is always my goal. I have completed the Gate River Run, Jacksonville Marathon, and the MS Bike Tour across Florida. These accomplishments have allowed me to apply my knowledge and understanding of the human body towards my patients' health.

Dr. Ellan Asks some important questions of interest to Jacksonville residents - Chiropractor Jacksonville Dr. Ellan Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Jacksonville parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
