Your Second Visit to Our Jacksonville Practice

On your report visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you.

Your second visit will begin with another short video which explains the significance of various exam and x-ray findings as well as appropriate therapeutic procedures to correct the problems.  The doctor will then show you your x-rays and discuss findings related to your condition.  The doctor will let you know if yours is a chiropractic case that we are likely to be able to help, if not he or she will direct you to the appropriate health care specialist who can.

If you are seeking chiropractic care the doctor will explain the recommended treatment program. Spinal adjustments will aid to straightening the spine and increase range of motion. Physical therapy modalities will assist in healing the involved soft tissues. Home therapies such as ice will aid to decrease associated inflammation and pain. Home exercises will increase flexibility and strengthen the weak areas.  Your second visit may take about an hour.

Dr. Ellan Asks some important questions of interest to Jacksonville residents - Chiropractor Jacksonville Dr. Ellan Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Jacksonville parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
